Zach drew a picture after dinner. “This is someone old. This is an old person,” he said. “This is an old person.”
“Oh,” said Sarah, “that’s a nice picture.”
“This person lives in nippier,” Zach said.
“Oh. Napier? Wow.”
He continued: “Yes. And we know this person.”
“Oh,” said Sarah, realising who he was talking about, “I don’t think that person would be very happy about what you just said about her. Is it Nana?”
He rapidly and excitedly replied “YES!”
Sorry.

Hello Zach,
This is the very very old person from Nippier.
I’m so glad you drew a picture of me. Bring it up and show it to me when you come and visit.
And of course I’m very very old and wrinkled. Because from next month I’m a pensioner. Ask Daddy what that means.
Lots of hugs and big kisses.
